Planned Features:

Public Slipway

Cork’s only public vehicular slipway in the upper harbour — safe, direct river access for all.

Diverse Maritime Activities

From rowing, dragon boating and sailing, to traditional boat building, therapeutic outdoor activity programmes, and vital community services like search & rescue operations.

Shared Facilities

Shared home for six organisations and clubs - with workshops, boat storage, offices, meeting rooms and indoor training space.

Inclusive & Increased Participation

Wheelchair-accessible pontoon, inclusive facilities, and targeted programmes to boost participation and ensure access for all communities.

Connected Community

A central hub for community groups, clubs and social enterprises - fostering collaboration, pooling resources and delivering inclusive water-based activities to strengthen Cork’s maritime community.

Sustainable by Design

Eco-conscious build using renewable energy and integration with our initiatives for river cleaning, traditional boatbuilding and commitment to green & blue infrastructure.
